Varthana elevates Chandra Kumar CS to Chief Human Resource Officer

Non-banking finance company (NBFC), Varthana, has announced the elevation of Chandra Kumar CS to the position of Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) in addition to heading Customer Experience. 

In his new role, Chandra will oversee Varthana’s people strategy, spearhead talent, and leadership development, diversity and inclusion efforts, improve employee and customer experience and cultivate a high-performing culture.

With over 20 years of experience in human resource across various industries, Chandra is skilled in creating organisational culture, forging collaborative teams, and developing employees through mentorship and coaching.

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Hardgrave, CEO and Co-founder, Varthana, says, “I look forward to seeing how he now strategically ties in Employee Experience to drive Customer Experience for Varthana.”

In his previous role as Head of Business HR and HRSD at Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was responsible for driving HR strategy for global business units and bringing excellence in HR service delivery. 

Prior to Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was with Tata Communications responsible for the effective implementation of the company's HR strategy, policies, practices and systems for their global enterprise solutions business units.
