Swappnna Varun has joined Waterfield Advisors as Director – HR, bringing nearly 2 decades of talent leadership experience across global financial institutions.
Waterfield Advisors, one of India’s leading independent wealth advisory firms, has appointed Swappnna Varun as its new Director – Human Resources, effective August.
Confirming her move in a LinkedIn post, Swappnna wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director of Human Resources at Waterfield Advisors!”
With nearly two decades of experience in human resources and talent acquisition, Swappnna brings deep expertise in building strategic people capabilities and leading high-impact HR initiatives.
She joins Waterfield from Jio Financial Services, where she served as TA Head – Special Projects for Jio BlackRock, overseeing key recruitment strategies and leadership hiring mandates.
Her career spans a range of senior HR leadership roles in global and Indian financial institutions. At Barclays, she served as Vice President and Head of Programmatic Recruitment for APAC, driving technology-enabled talent acquisition strategies across the region. She has also worked with Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), TechnoServe, Edelweiss, AMSEC, HDFC Securities, and Lehman Brothers, giving her a well-rounded view of the evolving talent landscape in banking, financial services, and advisory.
Known for her ability to design and execute HR programs that align with business objectives, Swappnna has led several special projects focused on enhancing recruitment efficiency, employer branding, and leadership pipeline development.
Waterfield Advisors manages over USD 5 billion in assets, offering holistic, fee-based wealth and investment advisory services across seven strategic locations in India. The firm is recognised for its client-centric approach, combining global expertise with local market understanding.
With Swappnna’s appointment, Waterfield is expected to further strengthen its human capital strategy, ensuring the organisation continues to attract, retain, and develop top talent in line with its ambitious growth plans.
