Westlife Foodworld has elevated Amit Jatia as Chairperson while Smita Jatia has been named as the Vice Chairperson of the company.

Westlife Foodworld Ltd. (formerly Westlife Development Ltd.) - owner and operator of McDonald's restaurants in West and South India has elevated Amit Jatia as Chairperson of the company with immediate effect. While Smita Jatia has been named as successor to Amit who was Vice Chairperson of the company.

Under Amit’s leadership, McDonald’s India (West & South) expanded its footprint to over 357 restaurants, launched its in-house specialty coffee chain McCafé, and scaled itself to a food tech company going from strength to strength.

In his new role, Amit will be responsible for navigating the opportunities of the rapidly changing global business landscape, through a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence across all facets of our business.

"I am deeply honoured to accept the appointment as Chairperson of Westlife Foodworld. It has been a privilege for me to lead such a talented and dedicated team of professionals who have built a strong organization over the years. I am humbled by the trust that the Board of Directors has placed in me, and I am committed to serving the best interests of our shareholders, employees, customers, and communities,” said Amit.

Smita comes with over two decades of experience in the QSR industry, Smita was instrumental in the company's growth trajectory, launching innovative formats, and most importantly, reviving the brand during and after COVID. She has been at the forefront of driving the aggressive growth of McDonald’s in the market and establishing it as one of the most loved brands in the country.

"The journey to this new role has been remarkable, and I am grateful for the support and encouragement of my colleagues, the Board of Directors, and our stakeholders,” said Smita.
