Zimyo, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for human resource management, has appointed Amitabh Kumar as its chief human resources officer  (CHRO).

“Welcome to the Z - tribe, Amitabh Kumar. We believe that your experience, skills and creativity will contribute immensely towards achieving our company’s goal,” the HR tech firm said in its social media post welcoming Kumar.

Kumar comes with an extensive exposure with startups in scaling HR systems and processes and a rich experience in driving organisational transformation and change management across multiple industries like IT, business process outsourcing , manufacturing and telecom.

Founded in 2018, Zimyo Consulting under the brand name ‘Zimyo’, offers SaaS-based human resource management software for businesses. It allows users to carry out critical HR processes including recruitment and onboarding, payroll management, performance management, and time attendance management. It also includes employee benefits modules which offer salary advance, personal loan and health,  term insurance to employees.

Zimyo recently raised approximately Rs 17 crore from business-to-business (B2B) marketplace IndiaMART.

Commenting on the investment Kumar Mayank, CEO of Zimyo, had said,  “India is home to one of the world’s youngest populations, which by 2050 is expected to account for over 18% of the global working population. Zimyo wishes to bridge the gap. We want to be the go-to HR Platform that both the SMB and the employee chooses for meeting its HR and benefits’ needs.”

Zimyo is currently backed by BEENEXT, AngelList & Yatra Angel Network and angel investors including Kunal Shah, Sweta Rau, Rajesh Sahwney, Sayali Karanjkar, Abhishant Pant and Navin Surya, among others.
