TCS to create 5,000 new jobs in the UK and launch an AI Experience Zone in London, driving innovation, STEM talent development, and economic growth.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has announced the creation of 5,000 new jobs across the United Kingdom over the next three years, reaffirming its strategic investment in the UK and commitment to supporting talent development. Alongside this, TCS will launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Experience Zone and London Design Studio, aimed at fostering innovation, client collaboration, and AI-driven digital transformation.

With a strong 50-year presence in the UK, TCS currently supports around 42,700 jobs directly and indirectly across 19 locations. The company’s latest expansion further strengthens its position as a leading technology partner for UK enterprises, addressing the nation’s growing skills gap in technology, engineering, and data analytics.

The AI Experience Zone will help businesses across the UK harness AI’s full potential while supporting innovation and talent development,” said Vinay Singhvi, Head – UK & Ireland, TCS.

Economic impact of TCS in the UK

A recent TCS economic impact report highlights:

  • £3.3 billion contributed to the UK economy in FY2024
  • £780 million in tax contributions, equivalent to salaries for over 20,400 teachers
  • 42,700 jobs supported, including 15,300 technology positions in engineering and analytics

Nick Mayes, Principal Analyst at PAC, said, “TCS’ continued investment reinforces its role as a leading provider of critical digital services in the UK, helping clients drive complex AI and digital transformation programs.”

AI Experience Zone and London Design Studio

The AI Experience Zone in London, a reimagined version of TCS’ flagship PacePort facility, will serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and client engagement. Following the success of the New York Design Studio, the London facility will leverage TCS’ partnerships with startups, academia, and industry to drive next-generation AI solutions.

Commitment to talent development

TCS’ investment in the UK goes beyond infrastructure. Through initiatives like ‘Partnering for Skills’, the company aims to reskill over 12,000 individuals for STEM jobs, supporting the government’s agenda to develop a future-ready workforce. The company also collaborates with academic institutions to promote STEM education and digital literacy, preparing the next generation for high-demand technology roles.

Community engagement and social impact

TCS continues to engage with local communities, focusing on education, health, and digital inclusion. Through partnerships like the TCS London Marathon, which raised £73.5 million in 2024, the company supports youth development and charitable initiatives, reflecting its broader commitment to the UK.

“The UK is TCS’ second-largest market globally. Our investments in innovation, AI, and people underscore our confidence in the UK and our commitment to creating employment and supporting digital transformation,” added Vinay Singhvi.

TCS’ UK expansion, including 5,000 new jobs, AI Experience Zone, and London Design Studio, highlights the company’s pivotal role in driving economic growth, innovation, and skills development, positioning it as a key partner in the country’s digital future.
