Infosys Head of Design Sanjay Rajagopalan quits

There is yet another top executive exit from Infosys. Sanjay Rajagopalan who was the Head of Design at Infosys resigned and he updated his profile on the professional networking website LinkedIn where he termed himself as a ‘Free Man’ from September onwards.

This comes a month after the former CEO Vishal Sikka’s resignation.

Rajagopalan was one of the first few people who Sikka got from the SAP when he moved to Infosys.

This is the first former-SAP executive to leave Infosys since Sikka’s resignation. Yusuf Bashir, who headed the company’s venture investments, and Ritika Suri, who headed large deals, also left the company earlier this year.

However, brushing aside all of these talent challenges, Infosys recently announced that it will hire nearly 6,000 engineers annually over the next 1-2 years, sustaining the hiring levels of the previous year. It also announced a renewed focus to increase local employee-count in US and European markets to expand its business and smoothen out visa-related issues, the report added.

Infosys interim-CEO and Managing Director U B Pravin Rao has been quoted saying at an investor meeting last week, “...we continue to recruit. This year that just concluded we had a net addition of 6,000 and we expect similar kind of additions over the next 1 or 2 years, depending on the kind of growth you see in the market.”
