Jason Kothari joins Snapdeal as Chief Investment Officer

Snapdeal, popular e-commerce platform appointed Jason Kothari as Chief Strategy and Investment Officer. Jason was earlier leading real estate firm Housing.com as CEO. 

In Snapdeal, he would be taking care of all investments and strategic partnerships along with portfolio management, raising capital for the company and also overseeing companies owned by or invested in by Snapdeal. Overall, he would be leading strategy and corporate development for the company. 

Speaking on his appointment, Kothari said, “I am happy to join Kunal and Rohit at Snapdeal, especially during the time when Indian e-commerce is shaping the future of the internet space. Snapdeal is on its way to building one of the India’s best companies and I look forward to help make it  a potential reality”

He has stepped down at a time when housing.com has merged with PropTiger in an all-stock deal.

During his stint as CEO of housing.com, Kothari changed the business strategy of the company by hiring the new management team and by reducing the operating cost by 70%. 

Prior to Housing.com, Kothari was CEO and Vice Chairman of Valiant Entertainment, an entertainment company.
