Leading consumer internet firm Matrimony.com has announced the appointment of S Rajesh Balaji as Chief Human Resources Officer. 

Speaking on the appointment, Murugavel Janakiraman, CEO, Matrimony.com, said, “As an organization, we are strategically poised at a juncture of both sustainable and high growth and the addition of Rajesh who brings in a strong track record of working across sectors and geographies would only strengthen the organizational capabilities and build a people-centric organization.”

In his new role, Balaji will spearhead all aspects of human resources strategy, talent management, building individual and organizational capabilities, organization design, and digitization amongst others.

A seasoned HR professional and a dynamic leader, Balaji comes with more than two decades of experience in establishing and transforming human resources functions at global, high-tech companies across banking, financial services, and manufacturing sectors.

Prior to joining Matrimony.com, Balaji served in leadership roles with Landmark Group, Standard Chartered Bank, Barclays, and Hewitt Associates. It is his deep expertise that the company which provides both matchmaking and marriage related services through websites, mobile sites, and mobile apps and is also complemented by 145+ company-owned retail outlets, aims to leverage in building a people-first organization.
