Salesforce appoints Sunil Jose as Country Head-India

Salesforce.com has appointed Sunil Jose as Senior Area VP and Country Leader for India, a newly created role in India, first published by TOI.

Jose will report to Eileen O'Mara, SVP- Commercial business unit in Salesforce Asia-Pacific, the TOI report said.

Prior to Salesforce, Jose was the Managing Director of Teradata India. In Teradata, he was responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the company's India business, as well as overseeing and providing guidance to sales, pre-sales, professional services, support, partner alliances and marketing. Sunil’s objective is to build long-term relationships by enhancing customer and partner experiences around core Teradata technologies like Integrated Data Warehousing, Business Analytics, Big Data and driving the next wave of growth with Cloud and Integrated Marketing Applications. His focus is on strategy, innovation, people management and customer experience.

Salesforce.com an American cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Though its revenue comes from a customer relationship management (CRM) product, Salesforce also capitalizes on commercial applications of social networking through acquisition. As of early 2016, it is one of the most highly valued American cloud computing companies with a market capitalization above $61 billion.

"India is one of our fastest growth markets in Asia Pacific and globally. My appointment is a reflection of that growth and our commitment to our customers in this region," Jose said to TOI.

According to the news report, Salesforce set up a centre of excellence in Hyderabad. It plans to add 1,000 jobs by 2020. Hyderabad is Salesforce's largest global office outside of its San Francisco headquarters.
