Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd has named  Sanjay Sudhakaran as Additional Director, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for five years. His appointment is effective from May 1.

Under a comprehensive succession planning program, the board of directors accepted the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee, and also approved the resignation of Bruno Bernard Dercle who is the current Managing Director and CEO.

The firm delves in manufacturing, designing, building, and servicing technologically advanced products and systems for electricity networks, with four manufacturing facilities in India. It serves key markets such as power generation, transmission and distribution, oil and gas, metro, and other electro-intensive segments.

Sudhakaran is currently the Vice President of Schneider Electric Digital Energy Division and has been associated with Schneider Group since 2019. He has 25 years of exposure to varied industries. His prior stints were at organizations such as  Otis Elevator Co, United Technologies, and Carrier Corporation, wherein he oversaw many geographies in the ASEAN market.
