Times Network COO and President Nikhil Gandhi has resigned from his role, as per reports. Gandhi joined Times Network in February 2017 as revenue head and in July 2019 he was promoted as COO and President. 

Besides driving monetization strategy and overall business growth of the network’s bouquet of channels, Nikhil was responsible for driving strategic growth and profitability for Times Influence, International Business & Zoom, along with its original content division, The Zoom Studios & events division Zoom Live.

Before Times, Gandhi worked for over nine years as Vice President with Walt Disney.  Gandhi was responsible for generating revenue and creating profitability across all the eight channels in the Disney India bouquet which include youth channels Bindass and Bindass Play; kids channels Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, and Hungama TV among others. He was responsible for ad sales opportunities for the cluster along with leading both the domestic and international distribution arm of the Media Networks business.

This was Gandhi’s second stint with Times Group, where he had earlier worked as Region Head from January 2005 to May 2007. He was part of the core team of Zoom during the launch of the channel.

Gandhi has around 17 years of experience in media with revenue and business specialization. 

The news of his stepping down comes in the same week as the exit of another executive-Faye D’Souza, the Executive Editor of Mirror Now, who decided to step down from her post this week. She will be moving away from the daily management duties of the channel. However, according to her post, she will “continue to be associated with the Times Network, creating and presenting flagship shows and IPs.”
