Vani Venkatesh appointed as CEO by Bharti Airtel

Bharti Airtel, India's largest telecommunications services provider, announced appointment of Vani Venkatesh as CEO - Retail.

Vani Venkatesh has been appointed as new CEO – retail by Bharti Airtel. She will manage and run Airtel’s retail strategy and will focus on providing seamless customer experience across the retail. 

Venkatesh takes over this role from Rohit Malhotra, who has been at various senior positions in the company for a span of nine years. Now, he is seeking opportunities outside Airtel. 

Prior to this, Vani has worked with Abbott Healthcare (India), where she managed medical nutrition business. Also, she has worked with McKinsey & Company leading several projects for them and also undertook the responsibility of helping clients to design and execute retail strategies. Overall, she has more than 19 years of experience 

Bharti Airtel is a leading telecommunication company, which is ranked amongst top 4 mobile service providers globally in terms of subscribers. Its Headquarters are in New Delhi and it is successfully running its operation in 20 countries across Asia and Africa. The line of products and schemes offered by the company includes 2G, 3G and 4G wireless services. Also, it provides IPTV, DTH, enterprise services; fixed line services, high speed DSL broadband and mobile commerce.
