TISS wraps up placements for HRM & LR, records top package at Rs 42 lakh

The 2020-22 batch of MA in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations (HRM & LR ) of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, has recorded a 100% placement, with all the 65 students who participated in the placement process getting jobs.

The highest cost to company (CTC) stood at Rs 42.09 lakh, witnessing an increase of 43.55%, over previous year while the average CTC of the top 10% and top 25% stood at Rs 37.22 lakh and Rs 32.21 lakh respectively, said the placement committee of HRM & LR.

As many as 55 students out of the batch of 65 received packages of Rs 20 lakh and above and a staggering 50% of the batch received pre-placement offers (PPOs).

The mean CTC stood at Rs 23.97 lakh and the median CTC was 22.50 lakh, registering an increase of 22.17% and 19.11% respectively, over previous year.

The process saw participation from regular recruiters including Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints, Citi, Dell Technologies, Deloitte India, Flipkart, HUL, ITC, Marico, Nestle, RPG, TAS and TCS among others. The first-time recruiters included Accenture Strategy, BrowserStack, Chargebee, Power Finance Corporation, Providence. Companies like EY, GAIL and HDFC Bank were back on campus after a hiatus.

The placement committee said Aditya Birla Group rolled out the highest number of offers followed by Accenture Strategy, Flipkart, Infosys Consulting, Power Finance Corporation and Samsung R&D.

A majority of candidates will be joining in the domain of consulting, followed by FMCG/FMCD, conglomerates and engineering/technology.
