Preeti Chandrashekhar to lead Mercer’s Benefits practice in India

Preeti joins from Willis Towers Watson where she was the Consulting Leader for South India and Sri Lanka

Mercer India, the human resource consultancy has announced the appointment of Preeti Chandrashekhar as the India Business Leader for Benefits. Previously, she was the Consulting Leader for Employee Benefits for Willis Towers Watson covering South India and Sri Lanka. Her experience also includes global benefits harmonization and management, trust governance and compliance, Mergers and Acquisitions, and actuarial services.

Commenting on the appointment, Anish Sarkar, Country Leader, Mercer India says “I am delighted to have Preeti onboard as our Benefits leader in India. This is an important domain for Mercer across our Retirement and Health lines of business, and I am looking forward to Preeti focusing on expanding our footprint in the market by bring more of Mercer’s innovative solutions to our clients here.”

Preeti Chandrashekhar said, “It is a privilege to associate myself with a renowned consulting brand like Mercer. India offers an array of opportunities for companies to enhance their employee benefits structures and it will be my endeavour to grow Mercer’s advisory services in this emerging space.”

She holds a M.Sc. and M.Phil Degree in Statistics from University of Delhi. She is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India. Preeti was awarded the Asia Pacific Award at Willis Towers Watson.
