Zomato co-founder Pankaj Chaddah unveiled his latest venture with former Zomato executive Pooja Khanna called Mindhouse, a mental wellness startup that offers users guided meditation sessions and techniques.

Chaddah had quit the food ordering and restaurant discovery platform after a 10-year stint in March 2018.

Mindhouse started in December last year by offering guided meditation sessions at three physical studios in Gurugram. The company, however, shifted focus to an online model due to lockdown curbs earlier this year.

"Covid-19 has put mental health to the forefront, accelerating things by a few years. We see this as an offline plus online opportunity. We were planning to launch our online service in a major way by the end of this year but we flipped that and now we are focusing only on online as we don't see offline coming back to normalcy for a long time now.”

Pooja Khanna, Co-founder, Mindhouse, said in the statement, “Online and offline channels will both help fuel this growth. Countries like the US have now reached similar penetration of meditation as Yoga, and India will get there very quickly.” The team, with its global experience behind them, also has an eye on the international market. “Globally, meditation is closely associated with India, and we think a great product from India can do exceptionally outside as well,” she added.

The company has raised Rs 15 crore from angel investors like Sahil Barua, Karan Singh, Anand Chandrasekaran, and Ambarish Raghuvanshi.
