A survey conducted by Genius Consultants found that 73% of the respondents reported that they don’t believe a new wave of the COVID-19 can affect the hiring process across all the sectors. 

A report carried out by Mint stated that the findings revealed that 69% of the surveyed individuals are not anticipating any insecurity of their jobs, caused by any new variant. However, the rest of the respondents reported fearing pay cuts and layoffs due to the same. 

Hospitality being one of the industries which were hit the hardest by the effects of the pandemic, 82% of the respondents are of the view that the industry can get affected again in case of new variants. This, according to the respondents may slow down the recovery process of the sector. 

The survey paper asked the respondents whether their employers would willingly offer hybrid work models citing the safety issues of their employees. To this, 64% agreed, while the rest reported that they weren’t sure enough about this.
