PeopleStrong, a global HRTech organisation, announced today the acquisition of its subsidiary Wheebox, which specializes in assessment and remote proctoring tools, by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), a global non-profit educational research and measurement organisation.

The acquisition was spearheaded by ETS Strategic Capital, a branch of ETS and its subsidiaries, which will strengthen Wheebox's presence in India and expand its global operations. Wheebox will continue to operate independently as a majority-owned subsidiary of ETS, as confirmed by HRTech company officials.

Announcing the acquisition, Pankaj Bansal, Co-founder and Group CEO of PeopleStrong stated, “To keep up with the pace of business transformation it is important to have a skilled workforce that is ready to work. Believing education research and assessment as the key modes, ETS aims to further expand access and opportunities for learners globally with the acquisition of the skill assessment tool.
