APSSDC and NASSCOM join hands to train youth

In the era of internet and data, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and NASSCOM have come together to train the youth in useful cyber-security and data analytics skills.

As per the official press release, as many as 36 institutions across Andhra Pradesh will be undertaking the initiative in association with NASSCOM. The partnering institutions have nominated faculty members for the programme which will be held in Hyderabad Central University from Dec 7-11.

The release said "After this training, the courses would be offered to the pre-final engineering students in these institutions, the advantage being the course content and design has been developed with the help of Industry trainers of NASSCOM,"

According to reports, it is said that the IT security market estimated at $77 billion (roughly Rs. 5,13,191 crores) worldwide in 2015 and is growing at the rate of 8 per cent annually.

It has also being said that the demand for cyber-security professionals, which is currently 4 million, is going to rise globally to whooping 6 million by 2019, with projected shortage of nearly 1.5 million.

Security market in India is estimated to be 1% of the overall IT-BPM industry and rapid growth in the security software product segment. It has also been estimated that there will be over 5 lakh vacancies on application security and data security fields across the world.
