Animesh Kumar joins Future Group

As earlier reported, Animesh Kumar had moved out from his role as the Head of Human Resources and Marketing Head of IDFC Bank Limited and CEO of IDFC Foundation. Now he is appointed by Future Group as the firm’s new Chief People and Transformation Officer. 

Animesh joined IDFC Bank in April 2009 as the Group Head-Human Resources. He served IDFC Bank for over 8 years and took a sabbatical in May 2017. As earlier reported, NS Rajan, the former group HR head of Tata Sons, joined IDFC Bank as its Group Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) and Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). 

On Animesh's appointment, MVS Murthy, Chief People Officer, nuFuture Digital (India) ltd, a Future Group Company shares, “Animesh brings with him the charm, clarity and connected HR experience which shall be of immense strength to Future Group.”

Animesh has over 20 years of experience in managing Human Resources in the FMCG, Services and Banking sectors. Animesh as worked with leading companies like ABN AMRO, Marico Industries Limited, Thomas Cook, Yes Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. He has been a Director of Infrastructure Development Corporation (Karnataka) Limited since October 20, 2016. 

Animesh has been the CEO of IDFC Foundation at IDFC Limited since April 2012 and was also responsible for promoting the IDFC Foundation’s development into a community engagement focused “think and do tank” that works particularly in the areas of Health and Education. He is an economics graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in human resources from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
