Jet Airways has come up with a list of nominations likely to head the interim board of Jet Airways. The top three names include former chairpersons of SBI. Topping the list is Arun Kumar Purwar and it is reported that his chances of heading the board are higher.

The other names doing the rounds include Janaki Ballav and Arundhati Bhattacharya, both former chairpersons of SBI. After former Chairman Naresh Goyal and his wife Anita Goyal stepped down, two seats are left vacant.

The other empty seat could go to one of the other lenders -- IDBI Bank, ICICI Bank or Yes Bank.

The decision, once taken by the lenders, would need the approval of the current board which is still in the process of being reconstituted. People in the know of things said that the SBI-led management is likely to approve the names of the would-be Chairman and the other member of the board soon.

As earlier mentioned in People Matters, Former SBI Managing Director & an ex-Jet Airways board member Srinivasan Vishvanathan maybe invited to join the airline’s top leadership. Vishvanathan has previously spent nearly three years on the Jet-Board as an Independent Director till August 2018.

Earlier this week Naresh Goyal stepped down as the Chairman of Jet Airways.
