ICICI’s Ramkumar opts to retire

ICICI's Executive Director in-charge of the Operations of the bank and the President of ICICI Foundation has decided to take early retirement, a bank statement said.

"Ramkumar has opted for early retirement to pursue his personal interests in the area of leadership consulting, research and training," the bank said.

Ramkumar joined the Bank in 2001, after a 16 year career that covered companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics, Brooke Bond Lipton India Limited (now Hinustan Unilever Limited) and ICI India Ltd. At ICICI, he was initially responsible for Bank’s Human Resources and then went on to take responsibility for the Group as a whole. 

He will be replaced by Vijay Chandok subject to regulatory approvals, who has been with the bank for over 23 years and has worked in different capacities in corporate banking, project finance, retail assets, and rural and inclusive banking.
