Jean-Christophe Letellier, the current Managing Director at L'Oreal India, is shifting to a new role within L'Oreal.
L’Oreal India appoints new Managing Director

L’Oreal India has appointed Amit Jain as its new Managing Director. Jain will succeed Jean-Christophe Letellier who will move within L’Oreal group after a five-year stint in the country. 

Jain will become L'Oreal India's first Indian Managing Director. His career spans over 30 years with companies across countries such as ICI, Coca-Cola, Viacom and Akzo Nobel. In his last role, Jain held the position of Managing Director, North-West Europe for Akzo Nobel. 

Pierre-Yves Arzel, Vice President - South Asia Pacific Zone, L’Oreal, shares in media, “We believe that Amit’s rich global experience with a deep understanding of India, transformational leadership skills, and whole personality will be an important asset in further developing L’Oréal’s business in India. His mission is to build on our rich talent base and global brands, to make L’Oreal India an engine for growth in Asia."

Jain will join L'Oreal from August and will look after Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. He will report to Arzel and Jochen Zaumseil Vice President, APAC.

The company shared in media under Jean-Christophe Letellier's leadership, India saw significant sales growth, revolutionized digital and e-commerce platforms, and achieved ambitious targets in skill development and environmental sustainability. 

Jain completed his an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and had done an Advanced Management Program from the Wharton Business School.
