Renault-Nissan appoints Jayakumar David as Director-HR India

The Renault-Nissan Alliance has appointed Jayakumar David as the new HR Director for India. He will take over the additional responsibility along with his current role as VP HR RNTBCI (Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India) with effect from 1st November 2017.

In his new role, Jayakumar will be responsible for all the Alliance HR operations in India, ensuring optimum effectiveness, while driving efficiencies of HR delivery to strengthen the Renault-Nissan synergies in India. 

He will be based in Chennai, reporting to Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director Renault India Operations and Thomas Kuehl, President Nissan India Operations, with a functional reporting to Dominique Dumoulin, Alliance HR Director, AMI Region. He will also report to Krishnan Sundararajan, Managing Director RNTBCI for specific entity related activities.     

Jayakumar succeeds Christophe Dalby who is moving to the company’s headquarter.

At the same time, we are grateful to Christophe Dalby who has been instrumental in implementing and developing the Alliance HR in India for the past 4 years and will now move to the headquarters. The Renault-Nissan Alliance will continue to grow its presence in India, fostering and nurturing the best talent.” 

A post-graduate in Human Resources Management from Madras University, Jayakumar with an experience spanning over 24 years in Human Resources. He has worked with organizations like Kennametal India., Siemens Technology and Solutions and Hindustan Coca-Cola beverages before joining RNTBCI in September 2016.
