Sanjay Malik takes charge of Nokia India business
Sanjay Malik, who is the current Head of Network Implementation (NI) at Nokia Global Services will take over from Sandeep Girotra to become the new Head of India market. This appointment will be effective August 1, this year. Sandeep has been promoted to become the Head of Asia Pacific and Japan market for the company. He has been heading the India market since 2011.
In his new role, he will lead customer operations, drive the business growth strategy and superior customer engagement services for the India market. He will be based in Gurgaon.

Malik, who has over 25 years of experience in IT, Telecom and Technology in India and APAC market, is credited with efficiently driving growth and delivering strong performance both in terms of revenue and operational efficiency, Nokia said in a statement. “I am delighted to take on this exciting role in such a growing and diverse market as India and will continue our relentless drive to excel in this key market. I look forward to serving our customers in the region as we continue to deliver superior products and enable service providers to provide world-class voice and data services to their subscribers,”
Previously, Malik was heading Bharti GCBT (Global CBT), where he led the transformation of the business by enhancing customer satisfaction, market share and business results across India and Africa.
