Chennai-based TVS Motor Company, on Tuesday announced that with effect from 23rd October 2018, KN Radhakrishnan will be serving as the company’s Director and CEO for a period of 5 years. TVS Motor being one of the largest two-wheeler companies in the country, this is a position of power indeed in the automobile industry and who better to fill in the shoes than someone as experienced as Radhkrishnan.

TVS Motor Company Chairman Venu Srinivasan voiced his view that "Over the decades, he (Radhakrishnan) has played a crucial role in shaping TVS Motor Company's journey of becoming a global manufacturer boasting of superior quality products". The company thus seems to be hopeful and expects Radhakrishnan to continue to add value from his new position.

A part of the TVS Motor machinery for decades, Radhakrishnan was promoted as Executive Vice President of TVS Motor in 2004 and in 2008, had become its President. His seasoned leadership was instrumental in charting out the path for TVS Motor to carve out its place as India’s third largest selling two-wheeler brand. 

Srinivasan also added that TVS Motor was enabled in the achievement of various high points and targets owing to the experience and expertise that Radhakrishnan brings to the table along with the fact that he also holds a strong position in the automobile industry.

It was under Radhakrishnan’s leadership that TVS successfully expanded into over 60 international markets. Now the Director and CEO, he holds a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai and has also been a part of the Management Education Program from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. With his educational background and industry experience, the company must be gearing up to be driven ahead under his practiced leadership.
