Urban Ladder hires ex-Croma Retail exec Ajit Joshi as President & COO

Urban Ladder now plans to foray into the offline stores space after it tasted the initial success with the newly-launched flagship centre in Bengaluru.

Urban Ladder, the online furniture portal has appointed Ajit Joshi as its President and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to Urban Ladder, Joshi was with Reliance Industries as the CEO of RIL’s convention centre.  

Joshi comes to Urban Ladder with over 30 years of professional experience and has worked with Croma and Shoppers Stop.

He was the CEO & MD at the electronics retailer Croma, which is a Tata Enterprise.

Ashish Goel, founder and CEO at Urban Ladder, said, “Ajit’s addition to the team is a crucial step in scaling our retail and growth strategy and win on offline distribution. Ajit’s vast retail experience will be an invaluable asset to us and will help us build a distinctive buying experience across channels."

Urban Ladder which is backed by Ratan Tata, recently launched flagship experience centre in Bengaluru, and has planned to scale its retail presence across Bengaluru and other cities.
