Verizon Media appoints Nikhil Rungta as Country Manager for India
Verizon Media has announced the appointment of Nikhil Rungta as country manager for Verizon Media’s India business. Nikhil will be responsible for the growth of Verizon Media’s business in India. This includes driving the success of the company’s leading consumer brands, advertising products and partnerships in the country. He will also oversee Verizon Media’s Bengaluru center, with teams representing key global operations and mission-critical functions.

Nikhil will report to Rico Chan, co-head APAC, Verizon Media. He will be based in Bengaluru.

Prior to this, Nikhil has held leadership roles at Google, Intuit, Reliance Jio, Housing.com, and Yatra.com. In a career spanning over two decades, he has successfully scaled businesses, built brands and led high-performance teams, in both turnaround and high-growth situations. In his previous role, he was MD of Intuit India. Rungta comes with strong management experience across consumer internet, technology, and SaaS organizations, which is what Verizon Media will be banking on leveraging as it bets on the next-generation 5G networks for its next phase of growth, amidst the company’s growing wireless competition.
