New Delhi: Aspiring Minds, a global leader in job skills credentialing and matching, has acquired of LetsIntern.com, India’s largest online and mobile internship platform, enabling millions of students connect with organizations for internships.

The acquisition is part of Aspiring Minds multi-million dollar investment plan in the internship space and this strategic acquisition gives it immediate access to the fast growing and very important space. LetsIntern.com has tremendous synergy with the company’s flagship product AMCAT, which is used by millions of early job seekers, 1000s of colleges and universities and over 3500 corporations.

Commenting on the acquisition, Himanshu Aggarwal, CEO, Aspiring Minds in a company statement said, “LetsIntern.com gives us a very reliable presence in the internship space and in continuing our efforts to add more value to students, colleges and corporations. We expect to combine the reach of both AMCAT and Letsintern.com platforms and achieve significant synergies. We are excited to welcome the LetsIntern.com team to the Aspiring Minds family.”

Aspiring Minds plans to continue to run the LetsIntern.com platform, investing extensively in growing the platform to reach and engage with every college and university student in India and across the world. Rishabh Gupta, co-founder & CEO of LetsIntern.com said, “This is a very exciting step for LetsIntern.com in its journey so far as the foremost platform in the internship space. We were able to instantly synergize with Aspiring Minds’ vision of revolutionizing the education and employment ecosystem in the world. We are confident that LetsIntern.com’s experience in the internship space and established network of millions of students and more than 22,000 organizations will add great value in the best in class business that Aspiring Minds has made.”

As per the deal, the LetsIntern.com team shall continue to lead the efforts of growing the Letsintern.com platform.

Pranay Swarup, co-founder and COO of Letsintern.com added “Letsintern was built with a vision to best connect students to their careers and the very next step in solving this complex problem is to be able to assess skill sets and suggest next steps. With Aspiring Minds on our side, we have more confidence to realize our shared vision”

This is Aspiring Minds’ second acquisition (Aspiring Minds acquired Mizcoin earlier this year) indicating its strive to scale its efforts in the ecosystem. The company is working towards addressing the deep rooted inefficiencies in the education and labor market. They recently announced an ed-tech fund to seed investments in likeminded start-ups.

"Our aim is to basically help students get the right job in the labor market by merit. We believe internship is an integral part of the talent identification and improvement process. It is thus natural for us to provide this service to students, mediated by assessments, to make the labor market overall more efficient,” said Varun Aggarwal, CTO, Aspiring Minds.

Aspiring Minds is a global job skills credentialing leader set up with a vision to create a merit driven talent ecosystem and enable efficient job skills matching by crafting credible and intelligent assessments. Founded in 2008, Aspiring Minds is a 500+ people strong organization with operations in US, China, India, Middle East, Philippines and Sub-Saharan Africa.
