HCL Technologies’ global IT development center to hire 1,000 in Andhra Pradesh

HCL Technologies’ global IT development center will be organizing a virtual “Mega Recruitment Drive” in Andhra Pradesh’s Vijayawada to hire around 1,000 freshers and experienced professionals. The hiring drive will be held on February 12 and 13 as per a company release.

Srimathi Shivashankar, Corporate Vice President, HCL Technologies, stated in a press note, “HCL Vijayawada is organizing a Mega Recruitment Drive on February 12 and February 13, 2021, that will present opportunities to both freshers and experienced professionals to join one of our fastest growing and most exciting New Vistas centers in Vijayawada.”

The IT development center located at Gannavaram in Vijayawada has been operational since February 2020, employing nearly 1,500 employees. The center which is on approximately 30 acres of land was envisaged as part of Andhra Pradesh’s drive to create new IT hubs in the state.

“In the last four years, our centers in New Vistas locations like Madurai, Lucknow, Nagpur, and Vijayawada have nurtured and hired over 15,000 candidates who are now an integral part of HCL Technologies,” she added.

The Vijayawada center is in line with the IT services giant’s philosophy to create and operate a state-of-the-art global IT development center; recruit, train and employ local talent and create sustainable ecosystems to retain them. The center also houses a skill development unit. HCL Vijayawada focuses on high-end technologies including engineering research and development, application development, and product & platforms business.

The skill center in Vijayawada can currently train 1,000 people. The recruitment drive will have HCL hiring fresher graduates and experienced professionals with 2-8 years of experience in technologies such as Java, Chip Designing, .Net, Azure, Microservices, SAP, Python, Protocol Development, Networking, DevOps, and Automation testing.

Earlier this month, the IT services major announced plans to hire about 20,000 people over the next two quarters to meet the demand on account of the strong growth in deal signing and adoption of digital services.
