Leading IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services hired 103,546 candidates in the fiscal year 2021-2022. This took the total headcount of the company to 592,195. However, the attrition rate (17.4%) continued to show an upward moving graph.

According to the official communique, the quarter ending in March 2022 saw the highest number of quarterly headcount addition which stood at 35,209. The workforce of the company comprises of people 153 nationalities and 35.6% women. 

Commenting on these achievements, Rajesh Gopinathan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director said: “We are closing FY 22 on a strong note, with mid-teen growth and adding the maximum incremental revenue ever. Increasing participation in our customers’ growth and transformation journeys, and an all-time high order book provide a strong and sustainable foundation for continued growth ahead.”

Further adding to the comments, Milind Lakkad, Chief HR Officer, said: “With the highest ever net addition this year, consistently highest talent retention, benchmark talent development metrics, continued focus on health and wellbeing and numerous industry awards, we have reaffirmed TCS’ position as the #1 employer of choice.”
