The new plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan is expected to manufacture over five times the capacity of the current plant located in Alwar, Rajasthan.

Japanese two-wheeler maker Okinawa Autotech has unveiled a new manufacturing unit located in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. 

The company plans to invest nearly Rs 250 crore in the development of its new facilities, and develop the upcoming ingenious products, including Oki90.

With the new production facility, Okinawa aims to increase the production of e-scooters to 10 lakh EVs per year by 2024. Currently, the plant in Alwar has an annual capacity of 1.8 lakhs units.

The expanded production capacity will enable Okinawa Autotech to not only meet soaring demand in India but also for exports globally.

Jeetender Sharma, MD and Founder of Okinawa Autotech, said,”The market is evolving at a fast pace, and the ramped-up capacity will undoubtedly aid us in bolstering the mass transition to e-mobility with a diverse and innovative product portfolio.”

Okinawa has over 400 centers catering to metros as well as tier 2, 3 and rural markets. With the new plant in action, Okinawa is expected to hire over 250 employees for managing the manufacturing plant.
