US-based Tech biggies hiring engineers in India

Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Oracle and Microsoft are looking forward to strengthening engineering base in India to work on the technologies similar to their global counterparts.

The American tech giants like Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Facebook and Oracle are looking forward to stepping up hiring in India. The news comes at a time, amidst the Trump’s “Buy American and Hire American” policy and tightening visa norms. 

As reported in media, other US-based companies like Target and Lowe’s are also hiring engineers from India to work in areas like machine learning, big data analytics, and networking.

The US- based companies are looking for staff in India to work on the technologies similar to their global counterparts. 

Reported in media, James Brandt, Managing Director at Lowe’s India said, “We are hiring people in e-commerce and digital technologies, retail and supply chain technologies, core engineering and infrastructures such as networking, virtual infrastructure and containerisation, analytics and big data, and project management.”

Also, Target India, a retail company shared with media that,  it is looking to hire talent with Java and Open Source capabilities and for niche areas with expertise in machine learning and neuro-linguistic programming.  

Earlier reported in People Matters, around seven of the biggest IT firms have planned to let go off at least 58,000 engineers this year. Amidst massive layoff, this news will definitely bring respite engineers in the IT Industry.
