Saksham, an initiative launched to combat unemployment in the country after Covid-19, is inviting Request for Empanelment (RFP) to be considered as “Placement Service Providers” from recruitment agencies and consultants. to become Saksham Empanelled Vendor or Saksham Rojgar Sathi program to bridge the gap between industry demands and a skilled workforce. The application process is open till August 12.

Empanelled vendors will be offered access to job mandates from various companies, utilise an AI-powered technology platform to manage low-income workforce hiring, and receive expert guidelines to enhance their growth.

“We cordially invite interested agencies to submit their Request for Empanelment (RFP) to be considered as “Placement Service Providers” under the “Saksham Rojgar Sathi – Phase I” initiative in Maharashtra. This empanelment presents an opportunity for agencies to collaborate with us and make significant contributions to Maharashtra’s economic development. Eligible agencies are strongly encouraged to submit their RFPs for careful evaluation and potential partnership consideration,” reads a statement issued on the Saksham portal.

The Technology, Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), an autonomous body under the Department of Science & Technology, launched Shramik Shakti Manch (Saksham). The initiative is aimed to connect job seekers with job providers using artificial intelligence and data science, on a hyperlocal level.

More than 362345 job seekers and over 4499 job providers are already registered on the portal, and more than 4488 job seekers have been placed so far through this initiative.
