Udemy, a global marketplace for learning and teaching online with millions of learners in India, announced the launch of the May 2021 Workplace Learning Trends report which includes the top trending skills for the month of May 2021. This list has been compiled based on the trending skills that Udemy for Business analyzes every month.

The highest topic consumption surges in India for April are - Redis by 113%, SAP Basis by 110% and Oracle SQL by 8%.

Talking about the monthly report, Irwin Anand, MD, Udemy India, said, “As the pandemic caused a rapid shift in our daily lives, the need to actively re-skill for new career paths has become more crucial than ever. Skills have become the new currency of the workforce. At Udemy, we aim to help people face new challenges and opportunities through upskilling. The purpose of this report is to keep our consumers informed about the emerging skills that organizations are steadily looking for in future prospects”

They help provide a perspective on the required skills for the future of work by analysis and evaluation of billions of data points garnered through these learners.

The top surging skills courses by Industry in May 2021 are: Financial Services- 134%, Manufacturing- 72% and Professional Services- 320%.

The May 2021 report included the Highest Topic Consumption Surges by Country which include Udemy’s main markets such as Canada, USA, India, UK, Australia among many others. India happens to be the second most important market for Udemy.

Millions of people learn on Udemy from real-world experts in topics ranging from programming and data science to leadership and team building. The skills mentioned above in the report share an interesting take on what kind of topics the learners are looking for to re-skill.
