Jet Airways appoints two directors, CFO

Sundaram Ramesh and Gautam Acharya have been named as whole-time directors while Rajesh Prasad is a non-executive director.
Jet Airways appoints two directors, CFO

Jet Airways’ monitoring committee has approved the appointment of Sundaram Ramesh as a whole-time director and chief financial officer, Gautam Acharya as a whole-time director, and Rajesh Prasad as a non-executive director. These appointments came into effect on July 20.

Ramesh comes with more than 40 years of experience in finance, accounts and taxation, custom, among other areas.

Prasad, who joined Jet Airways in July 2018 as its chief strategy officer is also a veteran and comes with close to 40 years of diversified experience.

While Acharya is an accomplished aviation professional with over two decades of specialisation in commercial aviation. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of working on three different continents, including Canada, the UK, Sweden, Hong Kong, and India. For the past 15 years, he has been a valuable asset to Jet Airways (India) Limited, where he has successfully overseen various roles, such as aircraft leasing and contracts, regulatory affairs, and law management.

These appointments have been undertaken with the objective of ensuring adherence to relevant laws, executing and submitting filings to the Registrar of Companies, and providing support in the implementation of the resolution plan, according to the regulatory filing.
