The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has selected Dr Kalyan Sagar Nippani as the next Director (HR) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a PSU under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). A total of 11 candidates including Nippani were interviewed by the PESB for the post of Director (Human Resources), at BSNL.

Nippani has succeeded Arvind Vadnerkar who has been serving in this role since October 14, 2019.

Out of 11 candidates, six candidates were from BSNL, two candidates were from Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), and one each from NBCC (India) Limited, Indian Telecommunication Service, and Haldia Petrochemicals Limited.

Before being selected as the Director (HR) on July 25, Nippani held the position of principal general manager at BSNL. Nippani who is a civil servant served in various capacities such as circle head of finance, vertical head of accounts & ERP, HoD & chief general manager National Academy of Telecom Finance & Management (NATFM).
