Ashok Ramachandran has moved on from Schindler after spending an 18-year tenure with the company.

Ashok Ramachandran, CEO and president of Schindler India has moved on from the company. Ashok who joined Schindler as a quality engineer in Australia in 2006 held various roles within the group.

Ashok was appointed as CEO in 2018 and president of Schindler India and South Asia in 2019. Prior to his India stint, Ashok had to his credit, business turnaround successes in Schindler Vietnam and Malaysia. 

“It’s a wrap! SCHINDLER Farewell! The age of 18 is usually when one "officially" becomes an adult and is given more independence and responsibilities. That’s how I feel today as I leave Schindler in my 18th year of being employed,” Ashok posted on Linkedin.

In a farewell post, he thanked Schindler for embracing him as one of their own and offering growth opportunities at an inclusive workplace.

Before beginning his association with Schindler, Ashok worked with Moran Furniture Pty Ltd as operations engineer.

Ashok describes himself as a highly passionate, motivated, and result-driven top-talent general management professional with varied experience from leading businesses in mature markets to fast-growing developing markets. His achievements include developing and coaching talents, creating and driving strategy, sales management, end-to-end successful P & L management and achieving results in varied markets and environments.

Ashok is yet to confirm his new assignment.
