Niyo Bharat's ex Business Head Hemant Tathod joins insurtech platform Bimaplan as COO

Niyo Bharat's ex Business Head Hemant Tathod has joined a Y Combinator-backed insurtech platform, Bimaplan. He will be serving as Chief Operating Officer.

Commenting on his appointment, Hemant Tathod said, "I am excited to join Bimaplan and take the vision forward of creating the most innovative, efficient insurance platform for the country so as to make a significant impact on the lives of financially underserved Indians. I believe that financial inclusion will contribute to social empowerment in general.”

Hemant, who was the founding team member of FinTech startup Niyo Bharat, has more than two decades of banking and start-up experience.

He will be responsible for the overall profit and loss while leading the business and operations toward exponential growth. Hemant will also be scaling the operations of the start-up to enable faster delivery of solutions to the partners.
