Perfetti Van Melle India appoints new Managing Director

Confectionary brand, Perfetti Van Melle India, the maker of Centre Fresh and Happydent, has elevated Rajesh Ramakrishnan as Managing Director. Ramakrishnan replaced Ramesh Jayaraman and he will be responsible for the Nepal and India business. Jayaraman has moved to a different role within the company. 

Rajesh is associated with the brand for around four years. He joined Perfetti in July 2014 as Managing Director for Bangladesh. He was responsible for the Bangladesh business and created the strategic roadmap for the brand in that region. 

After one year he moved to India as the Chief Transformation Officer for India region and now he has been appointed as the MD, India and Nepal. 

Commenting on his elevation, Huub Sanders, president- business unit, South Asia, Middle East and Africa (SAMEA), Perfetti Van Melle said, “Rajesh is an accomplished leader, who brings in a good mix of strategic thinking and operational excellence, with strong leadership skills. We are delighted to have him as our India head and wish him all the very best in his new role.”

He is a senior industry veteran with over 24 years of experience. He has worked with brands such as Apollo, Hindustan Times, Pepsico, Marico, Reckitt Benckiser in the past.
