Most counter-offers fall flat for employees: Study

Counter-offers, which have been used as a tool to hold back people from leaving the organization, are revealing a not-so-rosy side of broken promises on several fronts, leading to disgruntlement among those who opt for it. It's the flip side of the story which people discover only a year down the line, after accepting the offer, said industry experts.
