Pinterest taps Jon Kaplan from Google as its new Head of Global Sales

Pinterest has tapped Jon Kaplan as its new head of global sales, the company said on Tuesday. Kaplan joins the image bookmarking service company from Google, where he worked as VP of US sales. Kaplan will be filling in a role that was left vacant by Joanne Bradford, who left in June 2015. He will join Pinterest at its San-Francisco headquarters, the company said. He is expected to start on March 7.

At Google, Kaplan worked on ad products including search, DoubleClick and YouTube. He also worked closely with the product team in areas such as vertical search. He joined Google in early 2004.
