Shashikanth replaces Bhat as United Breweries MD

United Breweries (Holdings) Ltd, the holding company of Vijay Mallya’s UB Group, said that managing director Harish Bhat has been replaced by V. Shashikanth. Bhat also resigned from UBHL’s board, Mint reported. Shashikanth, who will also get a seat on UBHL’s board, has been given a three-year contract as managing director, the company said in a filing with the BSE.

Senior UB Group executives said that while Bhat was no longer UBHL managing director, he was still with the UB Group. When contacted Bhat, a UB Group veteran, confirmed he was still with the UB Group.
