New SBI all-women branches in Chandigarh

SBI has opened 27 all-women branches in Chandigarh. The decision to open all-women branches followed the appointment of the bank’s first chief Arundhati Bhattacharya after her maiden visit to Chandigarh. This comes a month after the opening of first bank for women- Bhartiya Mahila Bank in November. SBI has also initiated steps to ensure that atleast one all-women branch is there for each district in the Chandigarh circle.
