Rs. 50000 penalty for cos with no women on board

SEBI announced that companies which have no women directors on board will have to pay a one time fine of Rs 50000 in the first three months. About 12% of over 1450 companies listed in SEBI are in the defaulters list. The regulator is also considering stricter penalties for companies that fail to comply.
