Coal India workers to strike

Coal India workers are threatening to go on strike to oppose enabling clause in the coal block allocation ordinance. The whole of the country’s power supply could be affected if the five-day strike happens. The five central unions backing the strike represent almost 90 per cent of Coal India’s workforce.
