Boxed makes a trio of key C-Suite appointments

Online retailer Boxed has announced the appointment of Anna Meyer, Veracelle Vega and Jung Choi as key C-Suite leaders. They are hired for the roles of Chief Revenue Officer, Chief People Officer and General Counsel, respectively.

Described as a ‘results-driven revenue executive’ by Boxed, Meyer will be in charge with the acquisition of new clients for the Spresso software business. She has a two decade experience in setting up high-performing teams and driving profitable revenue streams in the retail tech sector. Prior to Boxed, she led Sezzle, a sales organisation where she grew their retail customer base by over 670%. She has also worked with SPS Commerce for 14 years.

In her new role as CPO, Veracelle Vega, she is tasked with leading and developing all people strategies, including organisational efficacy, compensation & total rewards, talent management, learning & development, employee engagement, talent acquisition and the development of a work culture with a focus on DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging). She joined from Resident, an online retail mattress company. Vega brings two decades worth of experience with her, delivering and building high-performing companies.

Another leader joining Boxed is Jung Choi, who will headline all the legal and compliance matters as the new Corporate General Counsel. Choi exudes over fifteen years of legal experience at large public companies and in private practice, most recently as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at Stanley Black & Decker. She also counts Bristol-Myers Squibb and Davis Polk & Wardwell as her former employers.

Boxed CEO and co-founder Chieh Huang said, “We are entering a monumental period of growth at Boxed, and having Anna, Jung and Veracelle join our leadership team with the breadth of knowledge and experience they bring, is critical to our long term goals. Of these key hires, all identify as female and two identify as minorities, illustrating the company’s continued commitment to diversity and inclusion.”
