Idea Celular CEO Himanshu Kapania elected COAI chairman

Idea Cellular's chief executive Himanshu Kapania was elected chairman of Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) at the GSM trade body's annual general meeting (AGM) Thursday. 
The COAI represents interests of GSM carriers such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular amongst others. Kapania steps into the shoes of outgoing COAI chairman Marten Pieters, who recently also stepped down as Vodafone India's chief executive.
