Top firms look to consultants for senior management posts

The trend of hiring CEO and senior management talent from top consulting firms have begun gaining currency in India Inc with Mckinsey AT Kearney BCG and Accenture pipping some top traditional firms as the new leadership factory. In recent times, a host of older business groups such as Birlas, Tatas, RPG, Hero MotoCorp, Escorts, and even PE firms such as Bain and Blackstone have picked up several consultants for senior operational roles.
