Skill development programs face problems

Many skill development programs in India are facing problems of survival owing several issues, such as cost, and balance between scale and speed. Many skill development programs have been launched by the Government without proper estimates of the cost required to run and sustain them. Another key area where there was lack of planning in these skilling programs is the speed at which these programs were expected to produce a ready supply of skilled workers.
