Infosys' mass hiring in Pune

As part of its expansion plan, Infosys announced that it plans to hire 8000 employees over the next six months in Pune. The city already has more than 15000 employees at Infosys. The company’s Pune unit currently serves the finance, insurance, banking, energy, retail and manufacturing verticals and is looking at growth across all these verticals by hiring around 4200 employees. The company plans to start a third facility in the city by March 2014 and plans to hire another 4000 people by then.
